Is traditional energy an energy storage industry?

Traditional energy is usually considered to refer to traditional energy resources such as oil, natural gas and coal. Energy storage industry refers to the industry that converts energy into storage form so as to release it when needed. Traditional energy is usually not classified as energy storage industry, because it is the source of energy, not the storage form. However, the traditional energy storage technology is constantly developing and improving to cope with the fluctuation and instability of energy supply and demand. Some traditional energy companies or institutions may set foot in the energy storage industry to meet the challenges of energy storage, but this is not the core business of traditional energy. So the traditional energy and energy storage industries are related to some extent, but they are not exactly the same.
