Respecting and loving the elderly is a fine traditional virtue of our Chinese nation. The elders have worked hard to create such beautiful living conditions for our generation today. We should cherish and carry forward these virtues. So what are we going to do? We should start with the little things around us.

Teachers often say that if we see an old man who is disabled or needs help in the street, we should reach out and help him. I remember once, my mother and I were on the way home by bus. On the way, an old woman came over. She bent over with a bag in her hand. Because she is too old, she moves slowly and seems to have a hard time walking. When I saw her, I immediately got up and let her sit in my seat. The old woman said happily, "What a good child." A nearby Ajie also said, "Really sensible". I was flattered by their praise, and my grandmother standing next to me smiled happily.

When I got home, I immediately poured a cup of boiled water for my grandmother. Grandma is very hard, because she has to take me home by bus every day and cook. Grandma smiled happily again.
