How is the ice lamp made?

Required materials: balloon, water, refrigerator, scissors.

Production method:

1. Insert a funnel into the balloon mouth, and then pour cold water into the balloon.

2. When the balloon expands to the required extent, pull out the funnel, tie the balloon tightly and put it in the refrigerator for freezing.

3. After half an hour, if the water under the skin of the balloon has formed a layer of ice film and its shape is stable, you can take it out of the refrigerator, cut and peel the balloon with scissors, poke a hole at the top of the frozen ice tank, and dump the remaining water inside.

4. Put the ice can in the refrigerator to keep the hardness, and then take it out when you need the ice lamp.

Put a tea lamp or candle in the freezer, and an ice lamp will be finished.

Extended data:

Ice lantern is a popular folk art in northern China, and it is also a form of ice sculpture. Ice sculpture, known as "ice craft", is an art form carved with ice as the main material. It originated in France and was created to increase the beauty and freshness of food. Because of the variability and volatility of materials, ice sculpture presents many difficulties. Carefully choose the ice suitable for ice sculpture. The ideal ice should be pure water, which has high transparency and as few bubbles as possible. Ice sculpture also needs to consider temperature and speed to avoid ice melting.

In China, the northeast is the area with the best development of ice sculpture, the most famous of which is Harbin Ice Sculpture Exhibition. There are many tourists coming to visit every year, and the scale is getting bigger every year. Not only are there more artists participating in the exhibition. And the theme of ice sculpture has become more abundant. There are ice sculptures decorated with modern science and technology lasers, and the most traditional ice lanterns are certainly not few. Due to the cold climate in Northeast China, ice is readily available, so the volume of sculptures has become larger and larger, becoming a veritable ice sculpture world, such as city walls and ladders.
