What is Icelandic fur?

Icelandic fur is clothes made from the fur of Icelandic sheep. It has been used for thousands of years. Icelandic sheep are purebred sheep. Because of its strong cold resistance, it can survive in a cold and harsh environment. Therefore, Icelandic wool is also a particularly scarce and expensive fabric.

In the domestic fabric market, the Icelandic wool we are talking about is not the above-mentioned Icelandic wool, but is made of chemical fibers such as polyacrylonitrile fiber, and some Icelandic wool with better quality is made of domestic wool.

Characteristics of Icelandic wool

Icelandic wool with different materials will also have deviations in characteristics, but they all have a special warmth. Of course, the warmth retention of chemical fiber will be a little worse than that of wool, which has a loose surface and a soft feel.

Mainly used for making winter coats or sweaters. Iceland wool of chemical fiber will be much cheaper than wool, and it can be washed by hand and machine without damaging the quality of wool. However, it is recommended to take Icelandic wool to dry cleaners for cleaning.
