1, in fact, making Mid-Autumn Lantern is quite simple, and there are many ways. Don't think about such complicated lanterns, prepare all kinds of materials first.

2. Step 1: Cut the circular red cardboard with a diameter of 20cm with scissors, fold it in half twice, and fold it into a quarter circle double-layer fan along the crease, as shown in the following figure; Then lift the two sides of the sector, flatten it into an eighth circle of four-layer sectors, and press hard to make the crease more profound and obvious.

3. Step 2: Reopen the folded one-eighth four-layer sector, then cut out a small piece of regular octagonal paper with draft paper and put it in the middle of the red cardboard, so that the center of the octagon coincides with the center of the circle, and each side of the octagonal just corresponds to the sideline formed by the crease on the red cardboard. Cut the gap between the red cardboard along the octagonal pattern with scissors.

4. Step 3: Cut out a triangular notch at the concave obtuse angle on the outer side of the circular cardboard every two sides. Then, according to the pattern paper type, it is printed and spread on the cardboard, and the red cardboard is coated with white pigment at the hollowed-out position of the paper type, or the cardboard is hollowed out directly according to the hole position on the paper type.

5. Step 4, arch the red cardboard into a cone as shown in the figure, cut out red paper strips and wrap them in the notched column folded at the top, and wrap them in the outer frame of the lantern to obtain the upper body of the DIY lantern.

6. Repeat the above four steps, make the lower part of the lantern with another piece of red cardboard, and then stagger it with glue to make a complete lantern.
