Layout of Exhibition Hall of Wu Luo Folk Museum
Wu Luo is a medium-sized Hakka village house with an area of about 65,438+0.20 square meters. It is a typical "three rooms and two halls" in China. The main hall is the core of the whole house and is dedicated to ancestral shrines. Together with the rooms with attics on both sides, it forms a "three-room" pattern with symmetrical layout and obvious central axis. These rooms are workshops and bedrooms. In order to guard against theft, there are not many windows at home. There is a patio between the hall and the gate for lighting and ventilation, and covered "corridors" are built on both sides of the patio for kitchen and utility room.
The gate is the only entrance and exit of the whole house. The door frame is made of granite and has a roof to keep out the wind and rain. Outside the house is an open space called "Sun Shed" or "Wo Ping", which is used for drying food, clothes and entertaining guests.
"Wu Luo" is a typical Hakka village house, with a hall as the center, and the buildings on the left and right sides are symmetrical and tidy. The center of the house is a hall, with bedrooms and workshops with attics on both sides. Right in front of the hall is the patio, and on both sides is the kitchen and the sundry room. There are furniture, farm tools, daily necessities and other folk collections in the house, which restore the appearance of the village house and fully reflect the frugal and hard lifestyle of Hakka people. There are a series of exhibition boards in the open space on the outskirts of Wu Luo, introducing the history of Chai Wan, the history and architectural features of Wu Luo and Hakka customs with words and pictures respectively.
The exhibition hall of Folk Museum mainly introduces the development history of Chai Wan, the origin of Wu Luo and the restoration process. Adjacent to Wu Luo, the area is about 1 10 square meter. There is an information desk and a small bookstore in the museum, which sells museum publications.
Wu Luo is a traditional China residence with "three rooms and two corridors", with simple design and simple style. "Room" refers to the space formed by the walls around the four-corner column, which, together with the rooms on both sides, forms a basic architectural pattern commonly known as "three-room intersection".
Collections selected from the Hong Kong Museum of History, including village furniture and traditional farm tools, are being displayed in the house, restoring the interior appearance of Hakka village houses. Wuluo was listed as a legal monument in June1989165438+10, which is open to tourists free of charge.
