Domestic and International Development of Sports Industry
Sports industry is a veritable sunrise industry. The most developed country in the world sports industry is the United States. In the 1980s, the total output value of the U.S. sports industry accounted for about 1% of its gross domestic product (GDP), and ranked 22nd in the total output value of all major industries; in the mid-1990s, the total output value of the U.S. sports industry had exceeded 300 billion U.S. dollars. In North America, Western Europe and Japan, where the sports industry is developed, the annual output value of the sports industry has already entered the top ten domestic pillar industries. As early as 2000, the total output value of the global sports industry was as high as 400 billion U.S. dollars, and grew at an average annual rate of 20%. In developed countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan, Britain, Germany, France and Italy, the total output value of the sports industry accounts for about 1-1.5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
The industrialization of China's sports market began in the 1980s, and it was only in the mid-1990s that China's sports industry took on a more complete industrial form and a better system for the sports industry, and it was during this period that China's specific industries, such as the sports advertising industry, the sports construction industry, the sports betting industry, the sports tourism industry, and the sporting goods industry, were able to fully develop.
In June 1995, the State General Administration of Sports issued the Outline for the Development of Sports Industry from 1995 to 2010, pointing out that China's sports industry would take fifteen years to gradually build up a modern sports industry system that was suitable for the socialist market economy system, in line with the laws of modern sports, with a complete range of disciplines, a reasonable structure and standardized development. Although the asset stock, human resource status and capital appreciation efficiency of China's sports industry are growing rapidly at present, the undeniable fact is that China's sports industry is still in the stage of development, and the degree of marketization of each link is still very low. Learning and borrowing the experiences and models of western developed countries in the operation of sports industry is a shortcut for the rapid growth of China's sports industry. For example, once by the media hotly debated Beckham's transfer to Spain's Royal Madrid team in a series of dazzling business operations, the management of the skill of the classic work of sports industrialization.
China's sports industry, although a late start, but the development is fast, the field of the industry continues to expand, the scale of development is also expanding, the quality of the industry has improved, the industry's efficiency is also significantly higher. Although the overall scale of sports industry is not very large compared with other industries, it has constituted a unique industrial category in the development of socialist market economy. 1992, in response to the Decision of Accelerating the Development of the Tertiary Industry issued by the central government, the State Sports Commission formally put forward the concept of sports industry. Not only did it make big changes to the sports management organization and set up 20 sports project management centers, but also launched the pilot reform of professionalization of soccer, which opened the door to the reform of sports industry in China. in June 1995, the State General Administration of Sports formulated the outline of the development of sports industry for the period of 1995-2010, which pointed out that the goal of the development of sports industry was to spend It pointed out that the goal of the development of sports industry was to gradually build up a sports industry system which was suitable for the socialist market economy system, conformed to the law of modern sports, had complete categories, reasonable structure and standardized development in about fifteen years' time. The specific goal stipulated in the Outline is that by the end of this century, a new pattern of industrial development will be formed basically on the basis of the main industry, with multiple industries and multiple ownerships co-existing and *** with the development of the industry. China's current development status of the sports industry is mainly reflected in four aspects:
Firstly, the sports market as the main body of the market, formed a certain scale, the basic framework of the market system has become clear. Basically, it includes competition and performance market, fitness and entertainment market, technical training and consulting market, sports intangible assets market, sports tourism market.
Secondly, the field of sports industry development has been expanding, and the quality and industrial efficiency of sports industry have been gradually improved.
Thirdly, the form of social investment in running the industry is developing rapidly, and a large number of sports clubs, sports enterprises or enterprise groups in line with the modern sports system have emerged.
Fourth, a multi-channel, multi-level and multi-form industrialized financing mechanism has been established and formed to ensure the development of sports. With the improvement of industrial awareness of sports enterprises and the intensification of competition in the industry, especially the intensification of competition in the sporting goods industry, domestic sports enterprises pay more and more attention to the study of industrial development, especially the in-depth study of industrial reform and industrial operation. Because of this, a large number of domestic outstanding sports brands quickly rise, and gradually become the leading sports industry!
Sporting goods industry, as the largest proportion of the sports industry, the highest degree of openness and competition in the field, in recent years has maintained rapid development. 2006~2011, China's sporting goods industry (sportswear, sports shoes, sports equipment and related sports products manufacturing and sales) value added year by year expansion, the average annual compound growth rate of 17.63%, cumulative to 2011 is expected to reach 176 billion yuan, accounting for more than 80% of the sports industry. China has also become the world's second largest sporting goods consumer market after the United States.
World Sporting Goods Federation Chairman Oyama Ki is also optimistic about the prospects of China's sports market. He said at the opening ceremony of this year's Sports Expo, with the development of China's economy and consumers more involved in sports, China has become the world's most important production base for sports shoes, sportswear, sports equipment.
