Common cylinder arrangement forms mainly include in-line (L or I, which is commonly used in China), V (V), W (W), horizontally opposed (H), rotor (R) and VR (VR).

The so-called V-type engine simply means that all cylinders are divided into two groups, and the adjacent cylinders are arranged together at a certain included angle (the included angle between the center lines of the left and right cylinders is γ <180), so that the two groups of cylinders form a plane with an included angle, and the cylinders are V-shaped when viewed from the side (the usual included angle is 60), so it is called a V-type engine.

Matters needing attention of automobile engine cylinder

Check the cylinder gasket surface for dents, bulges, damages, etc. Check whether the flatness of the cylinder head and cylinder block meets the requirements, then clean the cylinder gasket, cylinder head and cylinder block and blow dry with high-pressure air to prevent dust from affecting the seal.

The selected cylinder gasket must be the original fittings that meet the requirements (specifications) and have reliable quality. Pay attention to the up-and-down orientation marks during installation to avoid reverse installation and human error.

Tighten the cylinder head bolts according to the technical specifications, and tighten them to the specified torque in 2 ~ 4 times due to symmetrical expansion from the center to both ends; It is more reliable to tighten it in the hot car state.
