Plane thrust bearing mainly bears axial load in assembly and is widely used. Although the installation operation of thrust bearing is relatively simple, there are often mistakes in actual maintenance, that is, the installation position of tight ring and loose ring of bearing is incorrect, which leads to the bearing losing its function and the journal wearing quickly. The clamping ring is installed on the end face of the fixed part, that is, it is not assembled correctly. The inner ring of the fastening ring is in transition fit with the journal. When the important official rotates, it drives the fastening ring and rubs the end face of the fixed part. When the axial force (Fx) is applied, the friction torque will be greater than the resistance torque of the inner diameter fit, which will lead to the forced rotation of the mating surface between the fastening ring and the journal and aggravate the journal wear.

Therefore, the thrust bearing installation should pay attention to the following points.

(1) Distinguish the tight ring from the loose ring of the bearing (judging from the inner diameter of the bearing, the aperture difference is 0. 1 ~ 0.5 mm).

(2) distinguish the static part of the mechanism (that is, the part that does not move, mainly refers to assembly).

(3) In any case, the loose sleeve of the bearing should always rest on the end face of the fixed part.
