Ancient trans-Asian traffic roads. Also known as the Silk Road. Its main route: it starts from Weishui River Basin in the east, passes through Hexi Corridor in the west, or passes through the river north of Tarim River in Xinjiang today, passes through Qingji in the west of Shule (now Kashgar), passes through Dawan (now fergana valley) and Kangjunan (now Samarkand) in the west, or passes through the river south of Tarim River in Xinjiang today, passes through Qingji in the west of shache (now shache county) and passes through Dayue (now Da Yue). Those who take the westbound route of the Ili River Basin or the sea route sail directly from the south of China to the west and transport by sea via the Indian Peninsula, which is known as the Maritime Silk Road.
