The end of the traditional model

The forms of ancient traditional patterns in China can be roughly divided into four categories:

1. Folk crafts: ceramics, embroidery, window decoration, blue calico, batik, paper cutting, carving, weaving, etc. Features: simple, rough and full of local flavor.

2. Religious art: religious legends, myths and legends, murals of temples and grottoes, algae wells, niches and lintels, statues and costumes, pedestals, buildings, sculptures and various decorations. Features: the composition is rigorous and full of ideals.

Furniture, daily necessities, clothing, jewelry, architecture, etc. It was occupied by feudal emperors, nobles and wealthy businessmen. Features: Very fine, colorful and luxurious.

4. Decorative patterns with the theme of Fu, Shou, Lu and literati paintings and poems. Features: Metric forms such as "meter" and "nine palaces" are mostly used.
