Islamists are called Muslims.

Muslim is the common name for people of the Islamic faith. It is a transliteration of the Arabic word meaning "one who obeys" and "one who realizes peace". Doctrinologists refer to the "one who obeys God", i.e., the one who recites the word "halal".

According to statistics, there are about 1.6 billion Muslims in the world (2018), accounting for 23.4% of the total world population in the same period. In more than 40 Islamic countries in Asia and Africa, Muslims make up the majority of the country's total population. Some countries have made Islam the state religion.
