FIVB Paris Olympics Women's Volleyball Qualifying Ranking
As of September 24, 2023, the Paris Olympic Games Women's Volleyball Qualifying Tournament at the Ningbo Beilun Sports and Arts Center, Group A matches ended, China Women's Volleyball Team in today's match 1-3 defeated the Dominican Republic Women's Volleyball Team, ranked the fifth place in Group A, to determine that it is not through to Paris.
September 24, the Chinese women's volleyball team ushered in the last match of the qualifying tournament for the Paris Olympics. In a battle that is no longer about getting out of the tournament, the Chinese women's volleyball team beat Serbia 3:1, ending the tournament with a record of 4 wins and 3 losses. According to the rules, five teams can still qualify for the Paris Olympics through the FIVB world rankings, in addition to host France and those who passed through the qualifying rounds.
The Dominican Republic topped the standings with 17 points from six wins and one loss, while Serbia was second with 15 points from five wins and two losses. Though regrettably failing to get the through quota, the Chinese women's volleyball team still has a chance to get a seat for the Paris Olympics through the world rankings.
Rules of volleyball
The match is a best-of-three system, with each game remaining a best-of-five, with the first 25 points scored in each of the first four games winning, and the first 15 points scored in the fifth game winning. When there is a 24-all or 14-all tie, the match must continue until the lead is two points to win. The color of the boundaries is different from the ground.
