In the past, when many companies used desktop computers, in order to ensure the security of data, they usually locked the mainframe with a computer cabinet, but this still could not guarantee that data could not be copied and transmitted. And locked with the computer case, not only the heat dissipation is not good, but also inconvenient. After the company uses the cloud desktop, the data is no longer stored locally. At the same time, cloud terminals are prohibited from accessing storage devices such as USB flash drives, and employees must be authorized to access and send important data. So what are the disadvantages of cloud desktop?

Disadvantages 1: The desktop performance is a bit poor. As far as my personal experience is concerned, I found that the performance of cloud desktop is slightly different from that of traditional PC, and it is no problem for normal ordinary applications, such as office, browsing the web, logging in QQ and WeChat, using PS and other applications. The speed is basically the same as that of high-end PC, but when using 3D applications, the performance of cloud desktop will still be worse than that of traditional PC.

Disadvantage two, compatibility is not very good. Of course, in addition to running large-scale applications such as 3D, the compatibility of cloud desktop is not as good as that of PC at present. Conventional peripherals can support it, but some special peripherals such as U shield are not fully supported. In terms of peripheral compatibility, I personally think that the cloud desktop needs to be improved.

As far as personal experience is concerned, although cloud desktop is a little worse than traditional PC in desktop performance and compatibility, it is a good choice for most office applications.
