Final report on the effectiveness of Chinese homework design in lower grades

I. Thematic overview

In September 2008, the junior group of our school applied to the district-level research group for the project "Research and practice on the effectiveness of Chinese homework design for junior students", which was approved by the district-level research group in 2008 10.

With the deepening of curriculum reform, Chinese teachers should pay attention not only to the effectiveness of classroom teaching, but also to the effectiveness of Chinese homework design. In view of the disadvantages of traditional homework, this paper reflects on the present situation from the aspects of interest, individuality, practicality and development of homework design, analyzes the corresponding countermeasures according to the disadvantages investigated, studies the effectiveness of Chinese homework design, and discusses the measures to optimize Chinese homework design. From 2000 10 to July 2000, members of our research group have done a lot of fruitful research work and achieved certain research results.

Overall objectives of this project:

Through the research of this topic, students' interest in learning is gradually improved, and their initiative, autonomy and enthusiasm in learning are brought into play; Reduce excessive and inappropriate psychological burden and fear in learning; Create certain conditions to pay attention to the differences of students, meet the learning needs of different students, and make each student fully developed; By changing the organizational form and presentation mode of homework, students can learn individually, gain self-development and self-improvement in rich and colorful homework contents and forms, and realize perfect personality. In practice, teachers should change their educational concepts, respect students' individual differences and pay attention to students' personalized working methods.

The focus of this study is:

1. Give full play to students' personalities and specialties, create an atmosphere conducive to students' development, and pay attention to cultivating students' interest in homework.

2. According to the age characteristics of students, develop their favorite forms of homework, let them cultivate their interest in homework in practice, let students create and discover in practice, promote the development stage of students' thinking, creativity and imagination, and learn creative learning.

The research of this topic mainly goes through the following stages:

The first stage: the preparation stage. The second stage: planning and design stage. The third stage: the practical operation stage of teaching strategy. The fourth stage: the conclusion popularization stage.

Through the research of this topic, we come to the conclusion that the research and practice of the effectiveness of classroom assignment design is of inestimable value for promoting students' Chinese learning.

Second, the questions raised.

(A) the significance of the study

The research of this topic is conducive to improving teachers' theoretical literacy and teaching practice experience, so that teachers can have a brand-new understanding of the design of Chinese homework under the new curriculum reform. At the same time, for students, good homework design is a useful supplement to classroom teaching, which can improve students' Chinese literacy and Chinese ability more comprehensively. It is conducive to better reducing students' academic burden and stimulating students' curiosity.

Cultivate students' ability to find and solve problems. Develop a good habit of actively learning Chinese knowledge; It is helpful for students to use what they have learned to solve some practical problems in real life. Promote the development of students' thinking, creativity and imagination, and learn creative learning.

(B) the topic and background analysis:

Optimizing homework design and realizing the effectiveness of homework design can not only consolidate knowledge, but also develop students' ability and cultivate their innovative spirit and consciousness. The new curriculum standard points out the direction for the comprehensive deepening of Chinese teaching in primary schools, and also leads and promotes the concept of Chinese homework design. In recent years, all parts of the country attach great importance to the study of homework design. However, looking at the current situation of homework design, the defects of traditional homework design are still obvious. To this end, our research group found the following common disadvantages through investigation, reflection, analysis, classification and thinking of a large number of homework in and out of class.

To sum up: Although, the traditional homework design has certain advantages in students' basic knowledge and skills. However, it is extremely unfavorable for students' future growth. If it is not changed, it will inevitably lead to the misunderstanding of mechanical repetition. Students are trapped in the "sea of questions" all day, suffering, and their physical and mental development will be inhibited. Therefore, on the basis of fully investigating the current homework design, this topic absorbs the theoretical essence of optimizing homework design at home and abroad, puts forward corresponding countermeasures, forms a reasonable homework mechanism, thus building a scientific and efficient classroom teaching and promoting the improvement of education and teaching quality.

Background 2: Teachers are confused about the effectiveness of homework design.

In our classroom teaching, we can often see such a scene: the class is almost over, and teachers come into the classroom in a hurry to assign homework with the shouts of students, and the teachers' voices are often drowned out by the ringing of class and the noise of students; After class, let the little teacher copy the homework on the small blackboard in the classroom. The blackboard is full of it. Students are eager to copy after class, and also copy at noon, copying each other. ...

In order to systematically understand the teachers' understanding of students' homework, our research group has drawn up the following questions and summarized the results. The feedback is as follows:

Through the investigation and analysis of teachers, it is found that many teachers are aware that homework is an important carrier of curriculum reform. But there are still many disadvantages in the specific operation process. Teacher's response to the effectiveness of homework design: 1. Correcting homework under the new curriculum makes it more difficult for them to correct: this kind of homework has great challenges to teachers' knowledge structure, cultural literacy, editing and distributing ability and grasping new perspectives.

2. When designing homework, some teachers ignore the students' level and implement homework that only some top students can master, but ignore students' mastery of basic knowledge and deliberately raise the difficulty of homework. It takes a lot of time to correct homework, which hinders teachers from delving into textbooks, optimizing teaching and improving teaching quality.

Background 3: Students' desire to optimize homework design.

Our research group has drawn up an assignment questionnaire for junior middle school students (see the attached page for details) and conducted a survey on the students in the whole school 1 1 class. The survey found that most students think that doing homework is not a pleasant thing, and the single form of homework has become a tool to suppress students' growth. They are eager for the diversification of homework forms and the openness of homework content, and they are eager to fly their ideals in their homework. In addition, students lack the necessary consciousness in the process of completing homework, and teachers lack the necessary guidance for homework, which makes the effective design of homework largely a mere formality.

In short, in practice, most teachers still have one-sided understanding and inefficient operation of optimizing homework design, and lack necessary guidance for students. On the basis of analyzing the causes of these inefficient operations, this topic makes corresponding countermeasures for research and verification. From the effective point of view of optimizing operation design, this paper explores the countermeasures that can be popularized.

(3) Literature review:

"Task-based learning" holds that students are the main body of homework, and the design and guidance of homework should focus on students' specific and individual learning activities, not the same. The design of homework must respect the reality of students, the needs of teaching activities and the existing cognitive characteristics of students. It is an integral part of teaching activities. Its effectiveness means "it is the best according to certain standards". There are many standards, but the most important thing is the effect and time, which not only improves the quality but also does not increase the burden. "Effective" is not equal to "ideal", it refers to the best under certain conditions. The effectiveness of homework design means that when designing homework, teachers should optimize the homework design according to the students' actual and age characteristics, so as to make students interested in homework and improve their Chinese ability. This topic will be studied in stages from the following aspects.

Investigate attribution and find the correct starting point.

Work forms reflect diversity.

The homework content is interesting.

Humanized construction of homework evaluation

Try to be compatible in working methods.

Learning is a step-by-step process. The difference of students' learning ability is quite complicated and objective, and the standards for different students to feel the workload of homework are also different. Therefore, homework assignment should teach students in accordance with their aptitude, consider students' different study habits and self-study ability, different thinking and cognitive characteristics, different foundations and potentials, and scientifically and reasonably arrange learning tasks in and out of class. Pay attention to the design of homework while considering the appropriate workload.

In addition, homework has also received great attention in the research of teaching theory at home and abroad. For example, Kailov and smirnoff, early teaching experts in the Soviet Union, regarded homework as something as important as classroom teaching, and regarded homework research as an important aspect of teaching theory research. Cooper, an American scholar, published the monograph Homework in the late 1980s, and did a lot of research on the function and function of homework. Wu Yexian, a Chinese scholar, divided the teaching materials into three systems in his book "New Edition of Teaching Theory": subject system, image system and homework system.

The members of our research group absorbed the essence of task-based learning theory and combined it with homework reform under the new curriculum standard, which is the main theory and foundation of our research. On the basis of predecessors' experience, foster strengths and avoid weaknesses. In view of the present situation of homework design, this paper investigates all kinds of disadvantages, and at the same time, combined with the theoretical basis at home and abroad, reflects on the corresponding countermeasures to realize the optimal design of homework.

(D) Research basis

The district-level project of our research group, "Research on Active Literacy Teaching for Primary School Students", was completed in the first half of this year. At the end of the project, I have accumulated some experience, such as how to let students actively acquire knowledge and experience, promote the development of their thinking, creativity and imagination, and learn to learn creative learning. This is the ultimate goal of "life-oriented literacy teaching" research, the purpose of optimizing homework design, and its theoretical and practical basis. Because the "vitality" of optimizing homework design lies in giving full play to students' subjectivity, through inspiration and guidance, students can carry out learning and creative activities in various forms in interesting, personalized, practical and expanding homework, fully mobilize students' learning initiative, and make each student become the master of learning. In addition, the promulgation and implementation of the new curriculum has created an important opportunity for optimizing homework design. Schools, families and society have created a good environment for the optimal design of Chinese homework in lower grades, and will also create better conditions for this.

Third, the research conception.

(A) Research content

1. Investigate the current situation of Chinese homework design in the lower grades of primary schools, analyze the excitement of students' homework from the perspective of homework effectiveness, and look for

Effective ways to stimulate students' interest in homework. Such as using campus cultural resources, constructing life-oriented classrooms, designing creative life-oriented homework and so on.

2. Explore ways to keep students interested in homework. When students' interest in homework is aroused, in order to stabilize and maintain this interest, and to obtain feedback information about their homework effect, we can adopt methods such as competition and communication.

3. Excavate the characteristics of teaching materials, design homework scientifically and arrange homework scientifically.

(2) Research object

In the pre-trial stage and formal implementation stage of "the effectiveness of homework design", students and teachers in several teaching classes in grade group are taken as the research objects.

(3) Research tools and materials

Preparation stage: this topic is mainly based on investigation and analysis, supplemented by literature and questionnaire survey. Based on the Chinese homework design of the lower grades in Haimen Primary School, the subjects were distributed to the homework design in and out of class of each class.

Implementation stage: action research is the main part, supplemented by case follow-up research. Focus on the design of homework. According to the comparison of different assignments designed by two teachers in the control class for the same text, combined with the research of the subject, this paper analyzes and puts forward some countermeasures. In order to ensure the differences and individualization among students, homework has become the need of students' growth and a series of activities have been carried out. Several typical cases of good, medium and poor students are established and followed up to observe the effect of this study.

Summary stage: mainly based on experience summary method. At this stage, teachers will summarize this research in the form of papers and summary reports, and show students' homework practice and photos of competition activities.
