What coding technology does Ethernet use now?
Traditionally, Manchester coding, also known as phase coding (PE), is adopted.
In Manchester coding, there is a jump in the middle of each bit, and the jump in the middle of the bit is both a clock signal and a data signal; From low to high means "0" and from high to low means "1". There is also differential Manchester coding. The transition in the middle of each bit only provides clock timing. Whether there is a transition at the beginning of each bit means "0" or "1", and if there is a transition, it becomes "0" and if there is no transition, it becomes "1".
Nowadays, most Ethernet networks adopt 4B/5B coding because it is efficient and easy to implement.
Hope to adopt.
