Differences and connections between modern well-off society and ancient well-off society
How did you get the name of this habit? As a mystery, there are various sayings throughout the ages.
Ancient sayings can be found in ancient books such as Zuo Zhuan, Mencius and Shuowen Jiezi. They regard "Hua" and "Xia" as the Central Plains and "Yi" and "Yi" as the four directions.
Modern people have two views:
First of all, "Huaxia" is the name of a nation.
There are two versions of this view. Some people think that "Xia" is the surname of China in ancient times. The word "summer" comes from "summer water". It is usually said: "The week when Chinese people settled in Huashan, there was summer water next to it, hence the name."
Another view is that Huaxia is actually a branch of Xia nationality in history. The ancient Xia people once lived in Gansu, Henan and Shanxi. Later, this nation moved around and gradually formed three parts: Eastern Xia, Xixia and Daxia. Later, Daxia became the general name of Xia nationality, and it was also the laudatory name of Xia nationality.
The second view is that "Huaxia" is a concept of regional culture. This view can be divided into two ways.
One view is that names are named after the level of culture. A region with a highly developed culture is called "Xia" and a nation with a highly developed culture is called "Hua". "Hua" and "Xia" together are called "Hua". On the other hand, the areas and nationalities with low culture outside China are called "Dongyi", "Nanman", "Xirong" and "Beidi". Later, China continued to grow and develop, and most ethnic groups that accepted Chinese culture were included in the traditional category of Chinese nation, and China became the title of Chinese nation.
Another view is that the distant ancestors of the Chinese nation can be roughly divided into three groups: Huaxia, Dongyi and Miaoman. Later, the Yellow Emperor annexed the Yan Di tribe, unified other ministries and became the ancestor of the Chinese nation. Huaxia Group has also consolidated its mainstream position and become an ancient representative of the Chinese nation because of its continuous victory.
In short, the resolution of the name "Huaxia" is not over.
The word "well-off" first came from the Book of Songs, which said that "people can live a well-off life when they are tired", meaning that people should be given some peace after their hard work. People in later generations will think that their families are well-off as long as they have more money and can live a stable life. Taking a well-off society as a social form comes from the Book of Rites and Li Yun in the Western Han Dynasty. The "well-off" here is an ideal social model second only to "Datong", which refers to the rich and healthy social situation of the people.
The word "China" appeared in the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and the north-south key has been widely used. According to the book Biography of Liu Jinqiao, Rickas presented the above-mentioned watch to Emperor Jin Huidi, and wrote in it: "It's time to go to bed, and there is no preparation. China is in trouble with the axis of the watch. The Frequent Biography of Jin Chen records that Chen wrote to Wang Dao at the beginning of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, saying, "China is so bad that people all over the world have lost their liver because of talent ..." "China" here means sleeping next to it, referring to counties and all worshippers. To the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Pei Songzhi commented in the annotation of The History of the Three Kingdoms Shu Ji Ge Liang Chuan: "If you make (Liang) swim in China, you will never go out of the province and be under the guidance of many counselors. "This is called the Central Plains region by China. After the biography of Wei Shu Han Xian Zong, Emperor Xiaowen of Wei said, "Since the south, he has been faking, stealing Huaibei, trying to be good at the name of China", which shows that he has reached the dominant position of "Rong Di", claiming to be Chinese orthodoxy and denouncing the Jiangnan court as "South Fake". In short, the word "China" is a combination of China and Huaxia.
In ancient times, it was equivalent to China. On many occasions, it is synonymous with the theory of human beings, mainly referring to the Central Plains and extending to counties directly under the jurisdiction of the dynasty; On nationality, it generally refers to the Han nationality; China is also a cultural concept, which generally refers to the Central Plains culture that the ancients called "the highest etiquette and music".
