The 86 version of Journey to the West did not use "The Fishing Boat Sings the Evening Song".
"The Fishing Boat Sings the Evening Song" is a solo Guzheng piece that depicts the setting sun and fishermen returning with a song.
The piece has been used by China's CCTV since 1984, with one of its segments chosen as the background music for "Weather Forecast" to this day, making it one of the most familiar musical segments to television viewers.
