Architectural features of de stijl
1, geometric abstraction: de stijl's architectural design pursues an extreme and pure truth, pursues a geometric shape with a long square as the basic matrix, restores colors to three primary colors, and the interface becomes right-angled, smooth and unadorned, and expresses absolute and eternal objective truth with abstract proportion and composition.
2. Color application: In de stijl's architectural design, color is used to distinguish the facade system: white is on the outermost layer, gray represents shadows, black door and window frames and a series of linear components with bright colors.
3. Structural and geometric features: One of the typical features created by de stijl is structural and geometric features. For de stijl artists, the basic elements are the basis of the overall visual reality. What we have to do is to turn traditional buildings, furniture, products and paintings into the most basic geometric structural units, or elements.
