Why are more and more young people unwilling to work in the service industry?

After working as a waiter for a month, I want to say: I really don't want to do it again! ! !

The reason why I don't want to do it is not because I can't let go of my body in college, but because my experience as a waiter has given me many bad experiences. I want to tell you from my personal experience how unsuitable the service industry is for young people.

1, meaningless social interaction is easy to consume body and mind.

As we all know, the waiters in restaurants are old-fashioned people who are integrated with society. No matter how old they are, they will have more experiences than students who are immersed in their studies in ivory towers.

I have never worked as a summer job in the service industry, and I have no idea about their industry ecological chain, so it is easy to get involved in their intrigue. Competing for the commission of customers' ordering, because the uneven deployment of holidays leads to an increase in workload, are frequent events in the work.

As a short-term part-time novice, it is difficult to integrate into their circle, or it means that it is meaningless to know how to integrate. Forcing yourself to socialize normally is easy to consume energy and exhaustion.

2. It is difficult for college students to adapt to the rules of service industry.

There are many regulations in the service industry, which are completely incomprehensible with students' thinking. Take the restaurant where I work as an example, it is acceptable to recite the waiter regulations, after all, I am still learning professional knowledge; But every morning meeting, all the staff clap their hands together and shout slogans in unison, which really makes people accept incompetence.

Clap your hands for the first time and shout "Good! Very good! Very good! " At that time, I was embarrassed to dig a Barbie dream castle.

3. The calculation of capitalists is overwhelming.

For capitalists, young people, especially college students, are just cheap labor. If you meet a better leader, you may have a smooth life, but if you meet a great person, you should be careful of your situation.

I once applied for a job as a waiter in a new hot pot restaurant. The shopkeeper and his wife only have one aunt who is a cook, which means that the duties of the waiter are very confusing. Besides ordering food, he is also responsible for cleaning the table, sweeping the floor and mopping the floor. He even asked me to check the blending method of hot pot bottom materials online. The waiter is a brick, so he can move it wherever necessary.

This experience came to an end after the boss went back on his word and reduced his salary in just one noon. The second time was the western restaurant mentioned above, which was my real experience of the ugly face of capitalists.

The manager is obviously just a migrant worker. Just because he manages a dozen people in a small area, he takes out a capitalist face and tells me a big story every day, trying to brainwash me and smelling like a father.

Fired me for a month when I was about to be full-time, which not only saved me three days' salary, but also saved me 200 yuan's attendance award when I was on vacation in Bai Piao. Worked hard for 25 days, worked 10 hours every day, and was laid off with honor. The salary was 1800 yuan.

Before I left, the manager was still picking on me, telling me that I should learn to be smooth in my future work and not be so rigid. Not everyone tolerated me like him, so I rolled my eyes at him and left overnight.

The hard work and low wages in the service industry are well known. Since young people choose to do this industry, they must think carefully. However, repeated manual labor, besides earning meager income, is of no help to the future development of young people, which may be the reason why young people are increasingly reluctant to engage in service industry.
