What is breast volume ultrasound?
Ultrasonic automatic volume imaging of breast (ABUS for short) is a three-dimensional ultrasound scanning technology of breast developed by GE Medical Group, which obtains image information such as coronal section and sagittal section through tomographic scanning. ABUS can not only show the internal structure of breast tumor, but also clearly show the border, edge and surrounding gland tissue of the tumor, as well as the dilated ducts and internal lesions. In addition, the ABUS image is finer and has higher resolution. For breast lesions smaller than 1cm, ABUS is more sensitive than ordinary ultrasound, and has more advantages than ordinary ultrasound in detecting small lesions. In a word, breast ultrasound automatic volume imaging can further improve the detection rate of breast cancer lesions.
