Is the lost wax method the same as the model method?

Lost wax method is different from model method.

The casting method is to use clay to make an inner mold and an outer shape, and cast copper water in the gap left in the middle. After cooling, it was processed into bronze ware. Wax loss method is to make the final bronze ware into the desired shape and decoration with wax, and then fill all the gaps with mud outside. After drying, pour copper melt, wax melt flows out, and then knock off the mud to form.

Demonstration process

When casting bronzes by Fan Tao method, due to technological reasons, there must be the following marks: uneven thickness of the wall, casting marks on the abdomen and feet, dislocation of patterns at the folding parts of the fan, red or gray fan soil left in the ear and foot mirrors, which is very firm and cannot be removed by nails, and padding arranged regularly at the bottom of the abdomen.
