Why do old people say that children are born two years old after August in the lunar calendar?

According to the China Folk Chronology Law, the one-year-old brought by the birth of a baby is nominal. This one-year-old is actually true. It records the 28-day life course from conception to birth in the mother's womb.

According to Chinese tradition, "two years old in one night, and two years in the evening", people's age is one year longer every Spring Festival (at midnight on December 3th of the lunar calendar), which causes some people to be one year old and others to be two years old. It is roughly one year old who was born before the first day of June in the lunar calendar, and two years old who was born after the first day of June in the lunar calendar. This is because the folks spent half a year on the first day of June instead of the first day of July. In this respect, China people are different from Europeans and Americans. They celebrate their birthdays for a long time, and Christmas is Christmas, regardless of their age.

When I was born, shortly after the founding of the People's Republic of China, I was busy treating the scars left by the war. The economy was very backward, and all kinds of materials industries were very scarce. I had to do many things by myself. Next year's root, my mother was pregnant with seven months of pushing a rice mill to grind grain, and she was so angry that I only spent seven months in my mother's belly, in the cold winter season, and I came to the world on the 26th of the twelfth month (December) of the Gengyin year of the lunar calendar. The consolation in this life is: we hurry and drive slowly, although we catch a tiger's tail, we are still a tiger and the king of the mountains. Ha ha.

As it happens, there was no New Year's Eve (commonly known as "the lack of the end of the year"), and the firecrackers sounded for the New Year. Well, the firecrackers eliminated the old year with a bang, and the one year old never came back. We were two years old, and we were actually born only three days ago. People who are really the same age as me are still spending the New Year in their mother's belly.

A baby less than a month old was born in the freezing season. How many sleepless nights my parents spent in that year, how many hearts they broke, and what kind of hardships they paid to make this weak baby survive!
