The Origin and Development of Dubai Dance

The stick dance originated from herdsman herding sheep to celebrate unity, and later became a cultural symbol of Dubai.

Bar dancing is often performed in major festivals and activities, and is composed of men of different ages wearing white robes. It is also one of the important social etiquette in UAE, and it is the cultural embodiment of cultivating and improving human dignity and collective honor spirit.

During Dubai's National Day, major shopping malls will see Arab white robes singing and dancing with sticks. White robes lined up in two rows face to face, waving slender black canes in their hands and singing Nabatiyah in their mouths.
