Opera Music of Southern Opera

Nanju Opera is a multi-voiced opera of the south, north, and upper road voices, as well as kunqu and miscellaneous small tunes.

The South and North Roads' voices originated from the Chu tune, which has a direct relationship with the Jinghe Opera, and its South Roads' voice is gentle and gentle, while the North Roads' voice is soaring and stretching;

According to the statistics of Xianfeng County South Opera Troupe, the singing style of Xianfeng South Opera is 14 in the South Road, 12 in the North Road, 6 in the Upper Road, 7 in the North and South, and more than 20 small songs (mainly accompaniment and interlude), and there are also more than 10 small tunes such as straw shoe boards. The accompanying music of the Southern Opera consists of two parts: strings and percussion.

String music is one of the accompanying music, and the instruments include jinghu, erhu, yueqin, sanxian, suona and gaitanzi.

North and South Road Operas use the Jinghu as the main instrument, and Shangluo uses the Gai Panzi as the main instrument. Percussion is an important part of the music of the Southern Opera, which has the role of accompaniment as well as characterization and atmosphere.
