There are several types of calligraphy.

The emergence and development of China's calligraphy is a glorious chapter in the history of China civilization. After thousands of years of evolution and adjustment, five fixed and mature fonts have been formed: seal script, official script, cursive script, regular script and running script.

Seal script: It can be divided into big seal script and small seal script, belonging to the category of big seal script, from Oracle Bone Inscriptions in Shang Dynasty to bronze inscriptions prevailing in Western Zhou Dynasty. There are many pictographic elements in these characters, which is the beginning of China's calligraphy.

2. Lishu: Originated from the Warring States to the Han Dynasty and reached its peak. It was still widely used in Wei and Jin Dynasties.

3. Cursive script: Cursive script makes Chinese character writing really rise to the artistic level.

4. Regular script: After the development of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, it reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty.

5. Running script: it is a font between cursive script and regular script, which is still in use today.
