The idea of governing the country, which was put forward by Dong Zhongshu in the first year of the Yuan Guang reign (134 B.C.), was introduced under Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. The idea, which is no longer the original Confucianism of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.
