Oil and gas information room: responsible for the construction, maintenance and management of national oil and gas resources database and management system; Organizing the compilation of digital maps of oil and gas resources; Track and study the strategic changes of major oil-producing countries and oil companies in the world, and provide relevant information in time.

Development strategy research room: analyze and predict the strategic situation of oil and gas resources at home and abroad; Carry out research on the development strategy of oil and gas resources at home and abroad and the countermeasures for major problems; Carry out research on domestic and international oil and gas resources management system, operation mechanism, policies and regulations.

Strategic constituency research room: analyze the current situation of oil and gas resources investigation and exploration at home and abroad, and study the potential of oil and gas resources; Carry out the demonstration of China oil and gas resources prospective constituency, and provide suggestions for realizing the major discovery and breakthrough of oil and gas resources in China; Study and demonstrate the strategic selection area of oil and gas resources "going out" and put forward policy suggestions.

Science and technology and market research office: follow the development trends of new theories, technologies and methods of oil and gas resources at home and abroad, and put forward policy suggestions to promote scientific and technological progress; Dynamic tracking analysis of oil and gas resources markets at home and abroad; Carry out comprehensive and special research on oil and gas resources technology and market.

Oil and gas mineral rights office: responsible for the technical and transactional work of the preliminary examination of oil and gas exploration and mining rights, as well as the management of oil and gas mineral rights files, and under the guidance of the Geological Exploration Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources.

Mineral reserves research room: it undertakes the technical and daily work of mineral resources reserves management, and its business work is guided by the mineral reserves department of the Ministry of Land and Resources.

Mineral development research office: it undertakes the technical and routine work of mineral resources development and management, and its business work is guided by the Mineral Development Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources.
