What is the difference between different regions of the roof structure

Northern houses have thicker walls to protect them from the cold, while southern houses have thinner walls and are generally left empty or used as living rooms and garages to protect them from moisture. The roofs of houses in the north are usually pointed, while those in the south are flat. In addition, according to the seismic hazard level, the seismic design level is different.

There are many types of roofs due to different regions, different natural environments, different roofing materials and different load-bearing structures.

Categorized into three main types: flat roofs, sloped roofs and curved roofs.

1. Flat roof

Flat roof refers to the roof slope of 10% or less of the roof, the most commonly used drainage slope of 2% to 3%. This roof has a small roof area, the construction of simple features, but need to specialize in setting the roof waterproof layer. This roof is a form of multi-story houses often used.

2. Slope roof

Slope roof refers to the roof slope in more than 10% of the roof. Including single-slope, double-slope, four-slope, hiatus, folded plate and other forms. This roof has a large roof slope and fast roof drainage. Its roof waterproofing can be used in the form of component waterproofing (such as flat tiles, asbestos tiles, etc.) waterproofing.

3. Curved roof

Roof for curved surfaces, such as spherical, suspension, saddle-shaped. This roof construction process is more complex, but the external shape is unique.
