Collection of detailed information of Ganfu

Gan Mansion, also known as Gan's former residence or Gan's courtyard, is located in Qinhuai District, Nanjing. Built in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, commonly known as "ninety-nine and a half rooms", it is the largest private residence in China. Together with the Ming Tombs and the Ming City Walls, it is called the three major landscapes of Nanjing in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has extremely high historical, scientific and tourism value, and is the largest and best-preserved private residence in Nanjing.

The former residence of Ganxi is not Huizhou architecture, nor is it a completely Soviet architecture, but it has its own architectural style in Nanjing, just like Gaochun and Liuhe in Nanjing. The whole building embodies the cultural taste and ethics of Jinling gentry. The architectural layout was arranged in strict accordance with the patriarchal clan system in feudal society, paying attention to the full house of children and grandchildren, which led to the huge scale and strict hierarchy of luxury houses, and the location, decoration, area and shape of all kinds of houses had unified grading regulations.

Ganfu has been turned into Nanjing Folk Museum, and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006.

It has extremely high historical, scientific and tourism value, and is the largest and best-preserved private residence in Nanjing. In Nanjing, large-scale multi-hall-style houses are commonly known as "ninety-nine and a half rooms". The reason is that nine is the largest positive number and also a lucky number. It ends after nine to ten, and finally it means going downhill. Therefore, China has been called "the honor of the Ninth Five-Year Plan" since ancient times. The largest palace building in China, Ganfu, is the Forbidden City, which is known as "9,999 rooms and a half", and the largest government building, Confucius, is known as "999 rooms and a half", while the residential buildings are at most "99 rooms and a half", which not only shows the modesty of not reaching 100 rooms, but also shows the pride of reaching the goal only half a step away. In fact, there have always been 162 rooms in the former residence of Ganxi. Gan, the second son of Gan's father, was a famous scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. He used to be a scholar and had a rich life and work. According to legend, Gan is a famous family in Jinling. His father and son traveled all over the Five Mountains, collected 100,000 books, built a library, and became a famous building in Tianjin, thus going down in history. 1992 1 1 month, the museum is open to the public. 1995 was designated as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu province. In 200 1 year, it was listed as a patriotic education base under the jurisdiction of * * *. In 2006, it became a national key cultural relics protection unit. The outer side and the historic old street in Li Nan, Xi form an old street with unique folk culture. Ganxi's former residence, commonly known as "ninety-nine and a half rooms", is located in Nanjing Nanbu Museum. After more than one year of maintenance, it has been restored to its original appearance and is antique. This 99-and-a-half-room magnificent building was built in Jiangning Ganfu in the early years of Qing Daoguang, including the Tianjin Capture Building with a large collection of books. Gan's second son, Gan, was a famous scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, who wrote a lot in his life. Jinling Ganshi, a prominent family in the south of the Yangtze River. Its ancestors can be traced back to Gan Mao, the prime minister of the Qin Dynasty during the Warring States Period. Later, Gan Luo, Gan Ning and Gan Zhuo were all famous figures. In this life, Gan Gong and his son, Gannan Xuan, Gan Lu Zhi, are also famous figures in Nanjing literary and art circles. In the early days of the liberation of tourist maps, the news agency dominated by Gan, together with China and China Associated Press, founded the Friends Art Collection. Later, Gan Luzhi, Yu Zhiqing, Xu, and others, together with Sayinglu of Nanjing Institute of Technology, established the "Nanjing Peking Opera Art Research Association" under the leadership of the Nanjing Municipal Political Consultative Conference and the Federation of Literary and Art Circles, which made the Peking Opera activities in Nanjing ticket industry flourish. Later, with the support of Jiangsu Peking Opera Theatre, Gan Luzhi, Xu and others jointly held Zhongshan Amateur Peking Opera Training Course, which cultivated a group of new forces for Nanjing ticket industry. She inherited her father's Mei Pai Tsing Yi art. Ganxi's former residence has made three great contributions since ancient times. First of all, these 99 semi-large private houses in Qing Dynasty have high artistic value of classical architecture. Secondly, there are a large number of precious ancient books in Tianjin Capture Building. After liberation, Gan Gong-san donated them all to Nanjing Library together with hundreds of woodcut versions of "Lock the Eyes under the White" and "A Record of Jiankang" for free, which is a part of national traditional culture. Thirdly, he has done fruitful work in promoting Beijing art and Kunqu opera. Gan Gongsan loved opera since childhood and had a profound study of Daole. He is good at playing Sheng, Xiao, Di, Sanxian and Pipa, and studying Kunqu Opera. 65438-0935, I made several copies of Send My Son and Sweep a Song in Shanghai EMI Records Company. 1957, at the invitation of Jiangsu Radio, recorded Ten Flutes. It is this old artist who trained the second generation of Jingkun talents, benefited the third generation and continued the cause of Jingkun. These three contributions of Ganxi's former residence are immortal. Since ancient times, the Gan family has made great contributions to the country in literature or martial arts, while Gan Gongsan and his children have devoted their lives to promoting the art of Beijing and Kunming. Today, the former residence of Ganxi has been restored and opened, and the Beijing-Kunming Research Association has been established. Under the auspices of Gan Gongsan's granddaughter (the daughter of Wang), Nanjing ticket lovers United to carry out artistic activities. The main landscape "Little Gentleman China Traditional Culture Experience Hall" is the first China traditional culture experience hall built by Jiangsu Positioning Future Culture Development Co., Ltd. in Nanjing in 20 13. With the aim of "guarding the inheritance and watching the dream", a series of theme experience activities such as "opening ceremony" and "becoming a gift for children" are carried out around "etiquette", so that children can get in touch with the essence of their own national culture at an early age, insert tea art and piano music into a series of links, enhance their understanding of traditional culture, stimulate their inner personality and preferences, and then shape elegant and polite little gentlemen through in-depth systematic study. At the beginning of 20 14, in response to the call of cultural return, two new branches, Gan Mansion and Ten Dynasties Historical and Cultural Park, were added to unite the strength of cultural figures from all walks of life, integrate traditional skills such as tea art and archery, and hold dozens of experience activities such as opening ceremony and adult ceremony, which benefited students and parents of dozens of schools and provided a platform for cultural inheritors to communicate. At the beginning of the book of changes, Meng gua Xun: "enlightenment is also a sacred work." One of the four great gifts of life is of great significance to scholars, also called "broken yarn". The tenth birthday is the first decade of life, and it is a milestone for children to bid farewell to ignorance and become sensible. Growth ceremony is a milestone in children's growth and an important stage in life. Adult ceremony is divided into male crown ceremony and female ceremony. Book of Rites: "Crown is the beginning of ceremony." Crown ceremony is the first of Chinese etiquette system and the beginning of Han ethics. As a rite of passage for women, the gift-giving procedure is basically the same as the coronation ceremony. Suitable for/kloc-teenagers aged 0/8 to 20 to salute in high school graduation ceremony, college entrance examination ceremony, birthday, anniversary and other activities. People who perform the coronation ceremony can face up to the responsibilities on their shoulders, complete the role transformation and declare that they have grown up. After bidding farewell to childhood, you should be responsible for any speech or behavior. When facing life, there is nothing to rely on or escape, only to stand up and move towards the future life with dignity. Traditional local materials and climatic conditions make the house have a more uniform tone. The main part of the former residence is the entrance hall, which is the first entrance in the multi-entrance courtyard. The juxtaposed rooms also include lobby, concierge and accounting office. On both sides of the gate, we can see that the walls are smooth and flat. It is said that craftsmen use planers to plane bricks, which makes the walls extremely flat and there is almost no gap between bricks. These bricks are also called planing bricks. This process is called grinding brick joints. Car Hall: The second entrance also has rooms arranged together with the foyer (such as 15 South Capture Hall), which is the place where guests and car owners get on and off. Hall: used to receive guests, weddings and funerals, and is the main body of residential buildings. In order to deepen the building and highlight the height of the building, the hall generally adopts the beam-lifting structure to show the owner's wealth and status. The interior building is exquisitely structured and luxuriously decorated. Three-bay, the width of the bay decreases from the middle to both sides, that is, the middle is wider, and each entrance hall is a long floor-to-ceiling door, which can be opened completely. A partition wall (also called screen door) is set on the inner wall of the hall to avoid direct line of sight to the inner courtyard. Calligraphy and painting, couplets and plaques are hung on the partition wall, which together with indoor furniture constitute a colorful space in the hall. There are corridors in front, back, left and right of the hall, and the corridors can also be connected with side equipment. This layout allows the service personnel to walk around without disturbing the activities in the hall. South Capture Hall 19 Hall: There are steps at the lower end of the hall. In the room, under the four corners of the gray floor tile, there used to be a blue basin or jar hanging upside down. There are hundreds of blue basins under the floor of the hall, which can make the room more moisture-proof and sound-proof. Only large families that pay attention to building houses can use this method. At the same time, the overall height of the building also increases the grandeur and solemnity of the hall. Inner Hall: Located at the fourth and fifth entrances, it is used for the daily life of the owner and his wife. The lower floor of the inner hall is where their family lives and does housework, and the upper floor is the bedroom. The fifth is the youngest woman in the family, so it is also called Xiulou. Kitchen and other service rooms: arranged at the end or edge of the house, which can lead to the market through the back door or through preparation. Corridor preparation: There is a passage between buildings with a width of about 1 m to 1.5 m, also called tunnel. This is a fire escape. In case of fire, people can go through this alley to put out the fire. In addition, due to the feudal society, men are superior to women, the times are orderly, and the master and servant are distinct, so we must not cross the line. The host and distinguished guests take the main hall avenue, and the preparatory lane is the passage for women and servants to walk. From this, we can see the discrimination against female surnames and working people in feudal society. Courtyard: As an important part of residential buildings, functional requirements have brought about extremely rich changes in the space environment. Judging from the change of space, what is real is the building in the residential building, and what is imagined is the courtyard space that is open upward. Courtyard can play the role of lighting, ventilation and drainage. The depth of most courtyards is relatively shallow, and the height relative to buildings is about 1: 1. Combined with the balcony and overhangs of the building, the traffic area inside the whole house is reduced, which not only saves land, but also avoids direct sunlight in summer. In winter, due to overhangs, sufficient indoor sunshine can be guaranteed. The greening in the courtyard is more concise and elegant than that in the garden, so as not to block the space. The courtyard in front of the South Hall/Flower Hall KLOC-0/5 is equipped with rockeries and flower stones, which are separated by flower walls to adjust the temperature and ventilate. The cheerful tone composed of courtyard greening and bright skylight is in sharp contrast with the harmonious and peaceful tone inside the building, which makes the interior space of the whole house change endlessly. Uphill wall: the tall uphill wall makes the building beautiful and majestic, effectively prevents fire and wind, separates the building space and divides the functions of its various parts. The exquisite decorative skills of traditional stone, wood and brick carving make the architectural details of residential buildings change endlessly. They are unique in architectural decoration art and give full play to their practical value and unique aesthetic function in architecture. They are the brilliant labor creation and hard-working accumulation of ancient working people, leaving an extremely valuable cultural heritage for future generations. The sculptures are diverse in theme and rich in content, including the rising of bamboo joints, the fruit of grapes, and Five Blessingg's longevity, among which "Ten Scenes of Fulu" means "Rong Lu" and "Birthday Guo Ziyi" means "longevity". In Liang Fang and other places, there are also various auspicious patterns, such as rich bats (Quanfu), white deer (White Deer), cypress birds (Bai Shou), bats (Fuqing), flat peach cranes (Heshou), rich and auspicious, three-level promotion, safe and rich jade halls and so on. These woodcarvings are exquisite. The interior is also decorated with floor coverings, pendants, etc. , stands for piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, plum, orchid and bamboo. There are brick carvings in the gatehouse and other parts in front of the hall, such as Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Fulu Xi Shou, etc., which are rich in form and content, and are comprehensive arts of architecture, sculpture, painting, calligraphy and opera. Architectural Style The former residence of Ganxi is not Huizhou architecture, nor is it a completely Soviet-style architecture. Like Gaochun and Liuhe in Nanjing, Nanjing has its own architectural style. For example, the gatehouse is simple and elegant, and the uphill wall is particularly tall and practical. The whole building embodies the cultural taste and ethical concept of Jinling gentry. Ganxi Former Residence Building 1982, Nanjing Cultural Relics Department found "ninety-nine and a half rooms" in the cultural relics survey. In order to make effective use of and reproduce the features of Jiangnan folk houses in Ming and Qing Dynasties, the cultural relics department restored some buildings and built the Nanjing Folk Museum, which was opened to the public in 1992 1 1 month. Nanjing Folk Museum is located in the former residence of Ganxi in the southern hall of Qinhuai District. There are more than 300 houses in the former residence. Due to the royal regulations, the number of private houses shall not exceed 100. Gan is an official of the DPRK, and he knows the laws and regulations of the DPRK, so he declared "ninety-nine and a half rooms". 1995, the museum was designated as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu province, and it was listed as a patriotic education base in 200 1 year. Due to the occupation of many houses in Ganxi's former residence, Nanbu Museum 15, 17 and 19 were restored and divided into three exhibition themes. 15 is the exhibition hall of traditional houses in Nanjing. Visitors can visit the foyer, hall, inner hall, master room, Buddhist temple, new house, boudoir, study and so on. Experience the living concept of folk houses in the late Qing Dynasty. 17, Nanjing folk art exhibition. There are old artists who perform shadow play, clay figurine, magic, nine-chain, paper-cutting and so on. Visitors can learn art on the spot. 19, the photo exhibition of traditional houses in Nanjing, including the buildings with river rooms and halls on the Qinhuai River, buildings with multiple entrances and halls, and exquisite wood carvings, brick carvings, stone carvings and other architectural components, is a treasure house for studying the houses in Nanjing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Gan was born in 1797 and 1838. He is on the same list as Li Wenan, the father of Zeng Guofan and Li Hongzhang. In the Confucius Temple in Chengxian Street (the east courtyard of imperial academy) next to Yonghe Palace in Beijing, there are more than 0/00 pieces of Jinshi Lin/KLOC, which were set up successively in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. In the thirty-eighth year of Daoguang, the inscription "Gan Xi, Jiangning County" can testify. This paper introduces in detail that the former residence of Ganxi in 20 12 has many computer screens for tourists to watch, and many inheritors of folk culture in Nanjing have private rooms for tourists to visit. During this period, artists and their works of art gave tourists beautiful enjoyment and conveyed exquisite and powerful Nanjing culture. Emerson, a garden-style American philosopher, once said: "Cities exist by memory", and foreign things serve China. Nanjing is such a typical example to some extent. It's just that there are too many memories about her, and we need to find some clues of memories. This clue is either a talented person who disappeared in the street, or a vague story from hearsay, or a string of fragmented music scores, or an ancient building hidden under the buttonwood tree ... At the junction of Shengzhou Road and Zhongshan South Road in Nanjing, an alley with white walls and gray tiles is inconspicuous. This is the famous "ninety-nine and a half rooms"-the largest residential building in China in Qing Dynasty, with a history of more than 200 years. In such a special geographical position, Nanjing witnessed almost all wars and smoke in modern China, and witnessed countless joys and sorrows in the world. Now it is still lying here quietly, as serene as a weather-beaten old man, slowly shaking a cattail leaf fan and telling the story of the past. Structural features The layout of the former residence is rigorous and symmetrical, with clear priorities, high in the middle and low on both sides, low in the front and high after, step by step, and gradually pushed to * * *. The open room on the main shaft is slightly larger than the bay on both sides, and the entrance of the whole house is located in the middle of the main shaft. All kinds of rooms arranged along the depth axis are arranged in order: one enters the hall, the other enters the sedan chair hall, the third enters the main hall, and the fourth and fifth enters the inner hall. Luo Zheng was the residence and living room of the elders and the people who ruled the whole family in feudal families. Luo Zheng axis runs through it, and the treatment of the left and right sides is very different. As far as the frontage is concerned, there is no direct entrance to the main street outside. In order to enter this big family, anyone must go through the front entrance. This layout embodies the concept that feudal families can't set up another door. Because of this, there is no main hall near the street, which ensures that the main etiquette reception activities in the family must be carried out near the street. Buildings with edge drop layout are smaller than vertical drop in width of bay and total number of rooms, and there is a long gap between vertical drop and edge drop. Generally speaking, the plane and vertical drop of each entrance in the edge drop are not exactly the same. The central axis of the edge is not completely connected, and the halls can only enter after preparation and patio. Emphasizing the prominent position of the central axis in the layout of the mansion is a reflection of the lifestyle and ideology of feudal society. The traditional local materials and the climatic conditions in the corner of the building make the residential buildings have a unified tone, that is, the main colors of gray, white and brown, which are composed of small blue tile roofs, white powder walls and brown red lights. This main tone and the green mountains and green waters in the south of the Yangtze River form an elegant, quiet and peaceful tone. Due to the uniform color and changeable structure, the shape of residential buildings is both consistent and flexible. The layout of Ganxi's former residence is arranged in strict accordance with the patriarchal clan system in feudal society, paying attention to the children and grandchildren, and several generations live under one roof. These consciousness are reflected in the huge scale of the mansion and the strict hierarchy, and the location, decoration, area and shape of all kinds of houses have roughly uniform hierarchical regulations. Gan studied epigraphy and was good at geomantic surveying and astrology. Its former residence faces south. First, because the Gan family came from Danyang to make a fortune in business, and the "house painting technique" in Lun Heng Shu: the door of a businessman should not face south, because business is gold, the south is fire, the fire is flourishing, and the north is water, and gold and water are born together. It can be seen that the "paradox" of the orientation of Ganjia residence was originally based on Feng Shui. In addition, in Hundred Family Surnames, the surname of Gan is followed by "Bohai", which is the source of the surname of Gan. After Gannan moved, he hung a couplet of "the moon in the lake, the home sounds like the Bohai Sea" at home, and sat in the south-facing building to remember his ancestors and not forget them. There are as many as 35 large and small patios in the former residence, and it is said that there are 32 wells and inspection wells. More than 0/0 wells/kloc-were found, some in patios, some in rooms, some under eaves and some on doorsill, which solved the problems of ventilation, lighting, water supply and drainage of houses well. The sink under the roof eaves let the rainwater flow from the culvert to the courtyard patio, which played the role of "four waters belong to the Ming Hall". The historical evolution of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom-fortunately, the largest peasant movement in history chose Nanjing as the capital, which means that the war inevitably baptized Ganzhai. In the noisy revolutionary atmosphere, Ganzhai suffered the most serious damage in history. Tianjin arrest building was destroyed by the fire of Taiping Army and Qing Army, and more than half of160,000 books were lost. In this process, several booksellers stole the records of stones while their owners were away, and later found Huang Shang because of the uneven distribution of spoils. Immediately, the book was handed over to an editor named Zhang in Shanghai, and the Song version of Jin Shilu was finally preserved. Jin Shi Lu was written by Zhao Mingcheng, the husband of Li Qingzhao in Song Dynasty. It is a comprehensive collection and research monograph of epigraphy written by Zhong Ding tablet handed down before the Northern Song Dynasty, which occupies an important position in the history of epigraphy in China. Although Jinshi Lu was published in the Southern Song Dynasty, it was extremely rare to be published in the Song Dynasty. As we all know, there are only two kinds of Song periodicals, the Longshu Junzhai edition of Beijing Library (30 volumes) and the Zhao Buwei edition of Shanghai Library (remaining 10 volumes). Longshu county zhaiben is a book stolen by booksellers. It was not until 144 years later that the Tianjin Tower was rebuilt by later generations according to previous records and stood in Ganfu again. War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression-Peking Opera saved Gan Zhai's life. The Gan family has been a family of traditional operas since ancient times. In the 1930s, three brothers, known as the "King of the Flute in the South of the Yangtze River" and three emperors in the late Qing Dynasty, took the Ganjia Courtyard as the activity place of the "Nanjing Xinsheng Music and Opera Research Association", and the opera master Mei Lanfang also frequented it. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Gan family left Nanjing under the leadership of their parents Gan Gongsan and took refuge in Chongqing. Only Ganlu Zhi, the third son of the Gan family, stayed in Nanjing to take care of the house at home. Ganluzhi's wife is Yan Fengying, a famous Huangmei Opera actor, and both of them have a special liking for opera. It is said that it was Manny's love for opera that changed the fate of the house being destroyed. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, one day, Mannan Zhi, who was alone, was suddenly informed that she was going to the office of a Japanese official. He thought that the Japanese were going to occupy the house, and he was annoyed that he couldn't keep it. Unexpectedly, the house was not occupied or damaged, but was protected by an ordinance. Just because this Japanese likes Chinese Peking Opera very much, he visited his residence with great interest in order to enjoy Manny's Peking Opera performance. As a result, he found this house with unique style and elegant architecture, and issued an order prohibiting damage. In this way, the Gan Mansion was fortunately preserved in the war in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the Gan family returned to Nanking in 1946. Ten years of the Cultural Revolution-the army became a talisman, and good people were rewarded. After liberation, the property of the Gan family was sold. Then, another turning point occurred in the history of Ganfu, that is, the land was expropriated by the army, which meant that it became a military stronghold and could not be easily destroyed, which invisibly gave the government its first amulet. During the Cultural Revolution, the fate of Ganjia, who once owned so many properties, attracted people's attention. Fortunately, Mr. Gan Gong San Lao is highly respected and amiable. Before liberation, many poor people lived in his house for free. Every summer, Mr. Gan often orders his family to make ten drops of water to help the people. Therefore, the good reputation among the people made the Gan family an enlightened landlord, so there was no accident during the Cultural Revolution. Later, the officers and men of the army left the homestead, and their families continued to stay. This military compound has been submerged in ordinary houses and exists in a low-key manner. Until 1992, Nanjing Folk Museum was established here, and more than one household in the courtyard 100 moved out. This military history gave Gan the first peaceful years. Taking pictures today-vague memories The past Ganfu has always belonged to * * *, also known as Nanjing Folk Museum. In 2006, it became a national cultural relics protection unit. The mansion repaired by several generations of Gan family was rebuilt and expanded, and opened to tourists again on June 20 10/9. After the opening, the area of the mansion expanded from 6000 square meters to 9500 square meters, reappearing the structure and volume of that year. The whole Ganfu is divided into six major theme areas: the charm of Liyuan, the elegance of Jinmen, the former courtyard, childhood dreams, the old shadow in the south of the city, and Jinling crafts. After the re-release, the focus here is to reproduce the folk customs of old Nanjing and highlight the great charm of intangible cultural heritage. Paper-cutting, pulling foreign films, shaking, magic, bamboo carving, knots, velvet flowers, micro-carving ... all 25 old artists moved into Gan Building. Nanjing's four seasons, customs, old place names and old businesses will also be reflected in the exhibition. When I was about to leave the mansion, I found a small stage called "Liyuan Elegant Rhyme" on the left side of the hall, where Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera and Nanjing Local Opera were staged every day. At this time, the performance time has passed and the stage is empty. Only the words "out of the general" and "into the phase" are written on the curtain. Looking up through the glass ceiling decorated with flower umbrellas, you can see the sunset outside. Sunrise and sunset, we will enter each other. In such a huge city, several places can be as lucky as this century-old house hidden under the buttonwood tree, find their own home and keep the fading memory of the city at any time.
