Where is Pu Opera a local opera?
Pu Opera, namely Zhou Pu Bangzi, is a local traditional drama in Linfen City and Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, and is one of the national intangible cultural heritages. Zhou Pu Bangzi is named after its origin in Xupu County. Jinzhong and Jinbei are called Nanlu Bangzi or Nanlu Opera, Shangdang is called Xifu Opera, Henan is called Xifu Opera, and Shanxi and Gansu are called Shanxi Opera and Bangzi Opera.
Zhou Pu Bangzi has a high pitch and is good at expressing generous and tragic historical stories. Music and performing arts have a deep tradition, especially special effects such as hat wings, feathers and hair tossing. In May 2006, Zhou Pu Bangzi was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, with the project number Ⅳ-19.

Zhou Pu Bangzi is divided into three roles: Beard, Old Student, Young Student, Zheng Dan, Xiao Dan, Lao Dan, Dahualian, Erhualian and Sanhualian. Its performing arts have a long history and profound tradition. The distinctive features are fiery and unrestrained, vigorous and generous, flexible and lively, subtle and delicate, exquisite workmanship, and the use of stunts to express characters.
2. Unique skills
Zhou Pu Bangzi has many performing skills, high difficulty and strong appreciation, and there are more than 30 kinds of stunts, among which hat and wing skills, mouth twisting skills, feather skills, tip skills, whip skills, chair skills, fan skills, paper playing skills and color skills are well-known throughout the country.
3. Accompanying substance
The accompaniment is loud and the sound quality is tough, which conforms to the high-pitched and exciting style of Pu Opera music. Martial arts instruments include drum board (careful board), jujube bang, horse gong, cymbal and small gong. Wenchang's original musical instruments include small shell banhu, flute, erhu and big three-stringed instrument; Later, western musical instruments such as small, medium and cello were added. Suona, big and small.

There are sixty or seventy sets of percussion points (gongs and drums classics) in Pu Opera, but there are more than one hundred percussion points. Its rhythm can be divided into four types: slow, medium, fast and scattered. From performing movements to rap filling, from mastering rhythm to rendering atmosphere, it is inseparable from rhythm.
