What are the causes and solutions of belt conveyor noise?

According to many years' experience, Yi Li Machinery of Gongyi summarized that there are three kinds of noise produced by belt conveyor: the noise caused by serious eccentricity of belt conveyor idler, the noise caused by misalignment of two shafts of belt conveyor coupling, and the abnormal noise caused by steering roller and driving roller of belt conveyor. The following is a detailed analysis of the causes and solutions of these three situations:

First, the belt conveyor drum noise is seriously eccentric. When the belt conveyor is running, the drum often has abnormal noise accompanied by periodic vibration. Especially the return idler, because of its long length, heavy weight and loud noise. There are two main reasons for noise.

1. The seamless steel pipe used to manufacture idler has uneven wall thickness and large centrifugal force.

2. During machining, there is a large deviation between the center of bearing holes at both ends and the center of excircle, and the centrifugal force is too large.

Solution: The bearing can be used continuously if it is not damaged and noise is allowed.

Second, when the two shafts are not concentric, the noise of the coupling of the belt conveyor is the abnormal noise at the coupling of the motor and reducer at the high-speed end of the driving device or the coupling with the brake wheel. This noise is also accompanied by vibration with the same rotation frequency as the motor.

Solution: Adjust the position of the motor reducer in time to avoid the fracture of the input shaft of the reducer.

Thirdly, the abnormal noise of the reversing roller and the driving roller of the belt conveyor. When the reversing roller and the driving roller work normally, the noise is very small. When abnormal noise occurs, it is usually that the bearing is damaged and the bearing seat rattles.

Solution: Replace the bearing.
