Types of Ethylene Cracking Furnaces

Types of Ethylene Cracking Furnace can be technically categorized into double radiation chamber, single radiation chamber and millisecond furnace. From the type of furnace, it can be categorized into CBL cracker, SRT type cracker, USC type cracker, KTI GK cracker, millisecond cracker, Pyrocrack type cracker. The design and construction of ethylene cracker requires a wealth of technical experience and expertise, and the world's companies with the development, design and construction of ethylene cracker are HEURTEY, SW, Linde, KBR, Lummus, KTI, PetroChina and Wison Engineering. According to CMAI, there are only six companies in the world that have developed patented technology for commercial ethylene crackers, and only one of them, Wison Engineering, is in China. Linde developed the Pyrocrack cracker in the 1960s, which usually has a double radiation section and a single convection section. In order to adapt to different raw materials, the Pyrocrack cracker adopts three different types of furnace tube structures: Pyrocrack4-2, Pyrocrack2-2 and Pyrocrack1-1. The Pyrocrack 1-1 has high selectivity and short residence time, and has the smallest capacity but high olefin production in a single set of stovepipes. The Pyrocrack 1-1 is the main type used in the crackers designed by Linde after the 1990s.
