What's the story of Du Shiniang?

The tenth lady sank her treasure chest in a rage.

Du Shiniang's Rage Box is one of Feng Menglong's representative works in the collection of vernacular novels in Ming Dynasty, Shi Jing Tong Yan (Volume 32). This is one of the most outstanding short stories in the history of China ancient literature.

Du Shiniang, a famous man, aims to make friends. She knew that it was difficult for the sons and brothers who were addicted to fireworks to repay their parents because they lost everything, so she deliberately accumulated a treasure chest and kept it at the sisters in the hospital, hoping to polish it in the future, so that Weng Gu could understand a painstaking effort and achieve her own marriage. After a long period of trial and search, she chose angel lee. She wanted to entrust her life to him, so she asked angel lee to borrow money everywhere and take out her private money to fulfill her wish of being a good person. It is the only way for Du Shiniang to turn over a new leaf. So, the sisters heard that she left the hospital from the Li family, and everyone gave them away and returned the treasure chest to Du Shiniang for financial aid. In fact, the first part of the experience is that Du Shiniang and Li Jia are strangers. Li Jia is worried that returning to China will not be tolerated by strict father, so Du Shiniang and Li Jia rowed in wuyue and slowly made a plan. On the way, I happened to meet a rich boy, witnessed Du Shiniang's beauty, and was insatiable, so I took the opportunity of drinking with Li Jia and left with clever words, seducing and making Li Jia sell Du Shiniang to him for one thousand yuan and two pieces of silver. Du Shiniang knew he was being flaunted and was desperate. She pretended to agree to their deal, but then opened the treasure chest in public during the formal transaction, angrily denounced traitors and heartbreakers, and threw her chest into the river to die.
