What are the ancient forms of ancestor worship in China?
Based on the place of worship, ancestor worship in ancient China can be divided into two kinds: temple worship and tomb worship. Tomb Sacrifice mainly refers to the living in front of the tomb to sacrifice ancestors, in order to express and send the feelings of filial piety to the deceased, later also known as "tomb sacrifice", commonly known as "worship sweep" or "sweep the tomb".
According to archaeological discoveries, as early as in the Neolithic period, China already has the custom of tomb sacrifice, in the Yin and Shang Dynasties, tomb sacrifice wind gradually popular.
