What is the difference between BOOT MODE: Legacy and UEFI in BIOS setup?

UEFI is the new BIOS architecture that is more open and supportive of uefi drivers developed by more device manufacturers, expanding the functionality of the BIOS. Changing the bios options to uefi and legacy allows you to support both uefi and legacy systems.

The uefi is the newer BIOS, and legacy is the legacy BIOS, so if you install a system in UEFI mode, you can only boot it in UEFI mode, and if you install a system in legacy mode, you can only boot it in legacy mode.

.Windows 8 is installed with UEFI boot mode (specifically GPT + UEFI + x64), and your boot disk doesn't support this mode of booting

Egacy boot mode should be in MBR disk format, and UEFI boot mode should be in GPT disk format.
