Can the silicone mold be baked empty?

Silica gel mold is a mold made of food-grade silica gel, which can be used to bake cakes, pizzas, breads, mousses, puddings, chocolates and other foods. Because silica gel is an environmentally friendly material, it does not contain any toxic substances. Therefore, silicone mold products can completely meet the certification requirements of customers or third parties (such as FDA, LFGB, etc.). Silica gel molds can be made into different shapes according to customers' needs, such as animal shapes and fruit shapes, and different colors can be customized, which is both beautiful and practical. This paper introduces how to maintain the silica gel mold correctly.

1. After each use, wash it with hot water (diluted food detergent) or put it in the dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleaner or foam for cleaning. Make sure that the silica gel cup is completely dry before each use and storage.

2. When baking, the silicone cup should be placed flat on the baking tray alone. Don't dry bake the mold. For example, for six molds, if only three molds need to be used, the other three molds must also be filled with clean water. Otherwise, the mold will be burnt out, resulting in a reduced service life. In order to ensure the best baking effect of the finished product, a small amount of anti-sticking baking pan oil can be lightly sprayed on the surface of the silicone cup before baking.

3. After baking, please take the whole baking tray out of the oven, and put the baked product on the shelf to cool until it is completely cooled!

4. Silicone cups can only be used in ovens, ovens and microwave ovens. It is strictly forbidden to use them directly for gas, fire or electricity, or directly above the heating plate or below the barbecue!

5. Do not use knives or other sharp tools on silicone products, and avoid heavy pressure and pulling!

6. Due to static electricity, the silica gel mold is easily stained with dust. If you don't use it for a long time, it's best to put it in a cardboard box, out of direct sunlight!

7. Don't rinse with cold water immediately after leaving the oven to prolong the service life!

Tips: The newly bought silicone mold may smell a little silicone at first, but it won't smell after washing for several times. You can also add some water to bake it in the mold before using it. Be careful not to bake empty.
