Guan Yu was a figure in the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he traveled around the world with Liu Bei in the early days. He was captured by Cao Cao and killed Yuan Shao's general Yan Liang in Bai Mapo. Together with Zhang Fei, they are called ten thousand enemies.

Guan Yu's word is immortal, and later it was changed to Yun Chang. In his early years, he fled his hometown and came to Zhuo Jun in Youzhou. After his death, Guan Yu was gradually deified, honored as Guan Gong by the people, and praised and sealed by the imperial courts in previous dynasties. In the Qing Dynasty, Guan Yu was regarded as "loyal to SHEN WOO and brave to show Guan Sheng" and was honored as "warrior sage", just like Confucius and Wen Sheng. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms honored him as the head of the "Five Tiger Generals Army" in Shu, and Mao Zonggang called him the "one of the three musts" in the Romance.
