Interview with Mid-Autumn Story
Mid-Autumn Festival is the second largest traditional festival after Spring Festival. Ancient emperors sacrificed to the sun at the vernal equinox, to the land at the summer solstice, to the moon at the autumnal equinox and to heaven at the winter solstice. There is a word "Mid-Autumn Festival" in "Zhou Li", which has been imitated by scholars and nobles, spread to the people and become a festival. Tang Taizong's book recorded the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 15, which was very popular in the Song Dynasty.
There are four seasons in a year, which are divided into three parts: Meng, Zhong and Ji, so the second month of autumn is called Mid-Autumn Festival. It was not until the early Tang Dynasty that the Mid-Autumn Festival became a fixed festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival carries precious traditional culture. Only by going to festivals with cultural demands can we taste the fun of festivals and make traditional culture more meaningful.
