At present, Dongjiang Bonded Port Area has entered a period of rapid construction: in terms of infrastructure construction, the accumulated investment exceeds 654.38+0.2 billion yuan, with a land area of 20 square kilometers; In terms of project construction, the Pacific International Terminal with an annual design throughput of 4 million TEUs has been completed and put into operation. It is estimated that the container throughput will reach 654.38 million TEU in 2008. By the end of June 2008, Dongjiang Bonded Port Area had registered 26 domestic and foreign-funded enterprises with a total investment of over 654.38 billion yuan. American Xinda Logistics, Singapore Fengshu Group, China Merchants Group and other enterprises have completed registration and started operations. A large number of large-scale logistics enterprises and import and export value-added processing projects are under active negotiation.

Dongjiang Bonded Port Area plans to invest 6 billion yuan in 2008 to step up the construction of cruise home port, five-star hotel, low-density residence, artificial beach and other projects. By the end of 2008, the land is 25 square kilometers, the main roads have been completed and opened to traffic, forming a criss-crossing transportation system in the region, and the home port of cruise ships, five-star hotels and supporting houses have begun to take shape.

Dongjiang Bonded Port Area, as a symbol of the development and opening up of Binhai New Area and an important carrier of comprehensive reform, as an important part of Tianjin Port, the sixth largest port in the world, bears the historical mission of a new round of reform, opening up and innovative development. Dongjiang Bonded Port Area aims at the free trade port area and actively explores the construction road suitable for China Free Trade Port Area.

In terms of location, Dongjiang Bonded Port Area has obvious advantages. It is adjacent to Tianjin Development Zone and Bonded Zone, surrounded by the sea on three sides, 60 kilometers away from Beijing/KLOC-0 and 56 kilometers away from Tianjin downtown.
