Flag Day is an American holiday. It is scheduled for June 14 every year to commemorate the adoption of the American flag by the Second Constitutional Convention on June 1777.

1777 June 14, the United States held its second constitutional convention. At the meeting, it was decided to represent the United States with thirteen stripes and thirteen stars.

1949 On August 3rd, the US Congress approved the joint motion of 63 Stat.492, and designated June 14 as National Flag Day. The bill requires the president to issue an annual announcement calling on people to celebrate festivals, and all buildings of the federal government need to fly the national flag.
