Sun Xun, born in 1944 in Danyang, Jiangsu Province, graduated from the Chinese Department of Jiangsu Normal University in 1965. He is now the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Humanities and Communication of Shanghai Normal University, the chief researcher of the E Research Institute of Urban Culture in Shanghai Universities, the editorial board member of Literary Review, and the vice president of the Dream of the Red Chamber Society of China. He has long been devoted to the study of ancient Chinese novels, and is the author of such monographs as "A Preliminary Exploration of the Lipid Review of Dream of Red Mansions", "Essays on Ming and Qing Novels", and "Ancient Chinese Novels and Religion". He has published papers such as "The Circulation of Ming Dynasty "Yutang Chun" Stories in Korea" and "Tokyo Stories in Ancient Chinese Fiction".
