Name the customs of other countries.

Swedish customs are unique.

In the past, because of my work, I had the opportunity to meet friends who came back from overseas, so I learned about the customs of other countries. Looking through the past diaries, I saw the Swedish customs, which are unique and full of charm. Deliberately organize and write it for friends to share.

Sweden is located in the north of the earth, near the North Pole, and the annual sunshine is very different from our country, so there are two traditional seasonal festivals and celebrations every year.

Two traditional seasonal festivals in Sweden:

First, midsummer festival. Every Saturday from June 20th to 26th is the midsummer festival for the Swedish people. Because before and after the midsummer festival, the sun never sets in the north all day, and the central and southern regions will not come until dusk at ten o'clock in the evening. This is the longest day and the shortest night in a year. After the midsummer festival, the days begin to shorten. In some areas, from 10 to April of the following year, the sun was almost invisible for half a year. Therefore, the Swedish people regard this wonderful time as a festival and enjoy it every year.

During the festival, the flagpoles in the park square are covered with garlands, whether in the city or in the countryside. In the afternoon, people dressed in festive costumes gathered around the cross-shaped columns decorated with flowers and leaves. The father of each family drank the first glass of wine first, and the others followed. Then he slowly sang and danced and reveled. There are also races and tug-of-war One of the most poetic activities in the festival is watching the sunrise.

The second is the Lucia Festival. Every year on1February 13, the shortest day and the longest night. That is to say, from this day on, the days gradually become longer and the nights gradually become shorter until the midsummer festival of the following year.

There is also a beautiful and touching myth and legend. Legend1February 13, a beautiful goddess wearing a corolla and white came to the world. She loves light and hates darkness. With her arrival, people joined her in driving away darkness and pursuing light. So the days get longer and longer. This beautiful and moving myth and legend reflects people's yearning and pursuit of light, which has been circulated among the people for a long time, and the Lucia Festival is therefore more loved by the Swedish people.

On the eve of the festival, people prepared enough food and drink. On the night of the festival, the most beautiful girl or the youngest daughter in the family is dressed as the goddess lucia, wearing a corolla, decorated with six small electric lights like candles, and wearing a long white dress. Many candles were lit indoors, the tables were filled with holiday food, and people gathered around the ode of the goddess lucia to welcome the light. Girls from Lucia will give people coffee and wine and party until late at night. The next day, the girl dressed as lucia had to get up early to deliver coffee to relatives and friends.

It is said that during the Lucia Festival, the Swedish capital will also organize national celebrations. Representatives from other countries also participated in this activity. According to Swedish custom, all the goddess lucia selected by the participating countries must dress up, and one of them must be accompanied by Santa Claus. The lucia girl's car is decorated with the national flag and the name of the country to which she belongs. The street was crowded with people, who waved to the goddess lucia frequently. Then call all the lucia girls to the city hall to sing and dance until late at night.
