First, planting time
1, end of March and beginning of April
Early rice is usually sown in late March and early April. When it is determined that the weather temperature is stable at about 13 degrees, early rice can be planted. For example, in the Yangtze River valley, late March to early April is the most suitable for sowing. Generally, it is cultivated earlier and matured earlier.
2. Early April and end of May
Mid-season rice is usually sown in early April and late May. Mid-season rice is suitable for planting in most areas, and its development will change greatly due to different regions and climates. The general growth period is about 120- 150 days.
3. In the middle and late June.
Late rice is usually sown in the middle and late June, with long growth period and late maturity. Its growth period is about 150- 170 days. Its taste is not as good as that of mid-season rice, but better than that of early rice.
Second, the harvest time.
1, mid-to-late July
The harvest season is in the middle and late July, and the areas suitable for early rice planting are mainly distributed in the south, such as Hunan, Guangxi and Guangdong. Rice produced by early rice is also called early silkworm or early rice. Usually, early rice has poor taste and is often used as industrial grain or reserve grain.
2. Mid-to-late September.
The harvest season of mid-season rice is in the middle and late September, and the areas suitable for planting mid-season rice are mainly distributed in most parts of China except Guangdong, Qinghai and Hainan. The main producing areas are: Hunan, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Yunnan and Chongqing.
3. Early stage of10
The late rice harvest season is in the middle and early stage of 10. The suitable planting area of late rice is similar to that of early rice, mainly in the south.
Rice planting process
Soak the seeds before planting rice. Soak the seeds in water for 2-3 days and then take them out. The soaking time is determined by the temperature. Soaking time is short at high temperature and long at low temperature. Scatter the seeds with white buds in the bamboo basket, and then cover them tightly with plastic film. When they grow longer white buds, they can be raised in rice fields.
Before raising seedlings, rice fields should be plowed and raked. There must be a lot of water in the rice field. Who hasn't seen seeds? Without water, there would be no rice. After about half a month, when the seedlings grow to about 10 cm, they can be transplanted. Before transplanting, water storage, ploughing, harrowing and other related work should be carried out in the paddy field. After the field work is completed, the seedlings can be pulled out and planted.
