Some people say that the painter Leng Jun's oil paintings are realistic, so how did his paintings come out?
1962 was born in Lengjun, Sichuan, and showed great talent for painting when he was a teenager. 1979 Leng Jun was admitted to Jiangbei Art College of Wuhan Normal University with excellent results. After graduation, he set up his own studio and became an independent professional painter.
In the early 1980s, surreal oil paintings, which rose in Europe and America, were just introduced to China and were in the ascendant. Lengjun saw the bright future of ultra-realistic oil painting with a painter's keenness. With his solid foundation of realistic painting, he is determined to make a difference in the field of ultra-realistic oil painting and realize his artistic dream.
"Plum blossom fragrance comes from bitter cold, and the blade comes from sharpening". After more than ten years of hard work, Leng Jun finally ushered in the spring of his painting career. In 2004, Xiao Jiang, written by Lengjun in a year and a half, aroused strong repercussions as soon as it came out. People are amazed at the clarity and vividness of this painting, which is beyond the reach of photography, and at the fact that China painters can paint such an extreme surreal oil painting. At this point, Leng Jun became famous in one fell swoop. Since then, Leng Jun has created many surreal oil paintings, such as Du Fu, Xiao Cui, Mona Lisa, apples and pears. , and become the leader among the ultra-realistic oil painters in China.
Many people are concerned about how the details of Leng Jun's oil paintings are highly clear and lifelike. In Leng Jun's own words, it is on the basis of traditional realism, with the help of some modern scientific and technological means, and by "slow work and fine work". On the one hand, due to the long creative cycle, Leng Yan first established the painting theme, what kind of thoughts and feelings to express and what kind of picture effect to achieve. Then he drew a sketch with the real model as the reference, and then he took a high-pixel photo of the model, holding a high-powered magnifying glass to describe the photos one by one on the canvas, which can be described as "exquisite carving".
However, this is not the completion of a work. Finally, Leng Jun will invite models to examine the shortcomings and deficiencies of the paintings in front of real models. This goes on and on until the painter is satisfied. Therefore, Leng Jun said, "Surrealistic oil painting not only tests the artist's artistic accomplishment, but also tests the artist's" eyesight and skill "and the painter's patience and toughness".
A few years ago, at the Guardian Art Auction in Hong Kong, the grim Xiao Jiang and another surreal oil painting fetched 60 million yuan and 80 million yuan respectively, setting a record for a single surreal oil painting in China.
