Introduction of Shanghai-Hong Kong Bank History Exhibition Hall

The Shanghai-Hong Kong Bank History Exhibition Hall is supported by three financial and historical experts and consultants, Dr. Liu, Dr. Jiang Jianqing and Dr. Xian. Taking the development of historical time as the main line, the museum shows the overlapping changes and blending development of the banking industry in the two places since the middle of the19th century.

The exhibition hall is located in Bank of East Asia Building, No.299, Sichuan Middle Road, Shanghai. The building was built in 1926 and has been used as the business and office of the Bank of East Asia ever since. From 65438 to 0999, the building was listed as an excellent historical building in Shanghai by the Shanghai Municipal Government.

The marble counter, vault, safe deposit box and other facilities on the first floor of the building are still intact after nearly a hundred years of historical baptism, and have also become a highlight of the exhibition hall.

In addition, the exhibition hall also shows many precious bills and objects of financial institutions in Shanghai and Hong Kong in different periods. The exhibition hall combines traditional exhibition forms with multimedia technology, presenting the audience with a rich and interesting history of modern banking development in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The lobby on the first floor is a long-span space with a clear height of 6m. Black and white parquet marble railings and counters make the hall have a quiet and elegant temperament. The decorative lines on the wall and ceiling highlight the sense of lines, and cooperate with abstract geometric figures to bring a comprehensive experience of decorative art style.

The exhibition in the museum adopts the combination of independent display cabinets and exhibition boards to show the exquisite details of historical buildings to the maximum extent.

The chandeliers and fans in the hall are historical relics, and the original 24-meter-long black-and-white marble mosaic bank counter has been transformed into the reception space of the exhibition hall.

The vaults, vaults and mezzanines of Wanshili Company in the United States used to be the logistics storage space of banks, but now they are open to the public.

The original narrow wooden staircase in the reserved space of the lobby was transformed into a spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

Okay, do you understand? This exhibition hall shows the development of banks. If you are interested, you can visit it!
