Use of novice rtk survey

The use method of novice rtk survey is as follows:

1. Equipment preparation:

First, make sure you have a GPS receiver with RTK function, which usually includes two parts: base station and mobile station. The base station is used to receive satellite signals and calculate errors, while the mobile station is used for field measurement. Make sure the equipment is fully charged and the antenna is firmly connected.

2. Establish a base station:

In the measurement area, choose a relatively open location with a good view to establish the base station. The base station needs to be fixed at a known coordinate point, usually using the known point coordinates measured by measuring instruments. The base station receives the satellite signal and records the error so that the mobile station can perform differential correction.

3. Set up the mobile station:

Start the mobile station and place it in the position where it needs to be measured. Ensure that the distance between the mobile station and the base station is within a certain range (generally within tens of kilometers, depending on the equipment model), and ensure the stability of signal transmission.

4. Connect the satellite signal:

Wait for the mobile station to establish a connection with the satellite. Usually, mobile stations will automatically search for and connect to satellite signals, which may take some time. Ensure that the equipment remains stable during the connection process to avoid the mobile station being blocked or interfered.

5. Take measurements:

Once the mobile station has established a stable connection with the satellite, you can start the measurement. Please make sure that you have set the correct coordinate system and measurement unit before measuring. Then, according to the instructions in the equipment manual, start the measurement program. In the process of measurement, keep the equipment stable and avoid sudden movement or vibration, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.

6. Data recording and processing:

After the measurement is completed, the mobile station will generate a measurement data, which usually includes coordinates, elevation and other information. These data can be stored in the storage medium of the device (such as SD card) or transmitted to the computer for subsequent processing. In the data processing stage, professional surveying and mapping software can be used to correct, process and analyze the data and get the final measurement results.

7. Precautions:

Avoid occlusion: the mobile station needs to keep a stable connection with the satellite during the measurement, so it is necessary to avoid occlusion devices such as tall buildings and trees during the use.

Weather impact: Bad weather, especially rainstorm and snowstorm, may affect the quality of satellite signals, thus affecting the measurement accuracy.

Terrain influence: Complex terrain may cause multiple reflections of signals, leading to multipath effect, so it is necessary to choose a flat and open position for measurement.

Equipment maintenance: Regular inspection and maintenance of RTK measuring equipment to keep the equipment clean and in normal working condition can improve the accuracy and stability of measurement.
