The development of the history of ancient historiography

1, China's ancient historiography traced back to its roots, sprouting from ancient ancestors' legends about ancient heroes.

It came into being in the Yin and Zhou Dynasties, when Jin Wenla and Oracle Bone Inscriptions became simple literary records. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius compiled The Spring and Autumn Period, which was the first chronological history book in China's history and created a precedent for private history writing. During the Warring States period, the number of private history books gradually increased. Zuo Zhuan and Guoyu recorded historical events in the Spring and Autumn Period, Warring States Policy and Letters from the Warring States Period, Annals of Bamboo Books and Shiben recorded historical events from ancient times to the present, and the historical books reflected the trend of political unification.

China ancient historiography was established in Qin and Han Dynasties. Political unity has produced the corresponding historical masterpieces "Historical Records" and "Hanshu".

Development and representative works during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties: The History of the Three Kingdoms, the Book of Later Han Dynasty, the Book of Jin Dynasty, the Book of Song Dynasty, the Book of Southern Qi Dynasty, Liang Shu, the Book of Chen, the Book of Wei Dynasty, the Book of Zhou Dynasty, the Book of Northern Qi Dynasty, Sui Shu, the History of South China, and the Book of Wei Dynasty.

It was perfected in the Five Dynasties, Song and Yuan Dynasties, and was represented by Sima Guang's Zi Tong Zhi Jian.
