Carry forward the glorious tradition and cast the Great Wall of Steel.

When it comes to the pride of China, of course, it belongs to the Great Wall with a history of more than 2,000 years. Chairman Mao once said, "You are not a hero until you reach the Great Wall!" This summer vacation, I was lucky enough to come to Beijing Badaling Great Wall to be a hero. At the same time, I witnessed the majestic appearance of the Great Wall with my own eyes. When I came to the Great Wall, I heard the tour guide say that I learned about the history of the Great Wall. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the governors of northern countries competed for hegemony and merged with each other, and several big countries such as Qin, Chu, Qi, Yan, Han, Zhao and Wei emerged. In order to defend each other, they used the original riverbank or nearby mountains to build city walls and blockade lines one by one and connect them, forming the ancient military defense engineering system of the Great Wall. But it is small and incoherent. Around the 7th century BC, the Great Wall was first built in Chu. Later, from the 6th century BC to the 4th century BC, Qi, Yan, Zhao, Qin, Wei and North Korea successively built the Great Wall for mutual defense. In 22 1 BC, Qin Shihuang destroyed six countries, established the first multi-ethnic unified centralized feudal country, and built the Great Wall on a large scale to prevent the Huns from invading. Later, the Great Wall was built or added on a large scale in the Western Han Dynasty, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty, the Liao Dynasty, the Jin Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. The Ming Dynasty was the last dynasty in the history of the Great Wall architecture. Its construction scale was grand, its defense organization was complete, and the building materials used were solid, which greatly surpassed previous dynasties. Knowing the history of building the Great Wall and looking at this magnificent building, I thought to myself, "How much manpower and material resources will it take! At that time, technology was underdeveloped, and people at that time were really smart! " Thinking of this, I seem to see the scene of working people working hard on the Great Wall at that time: people were wearing sandals day and night, and maybe they were still working barefoot. Some people worked for decades, while others died in the process of construction. This reminds me of the story of Meng Jiangnv crying at the Great Wall: the hardworking and clever Meng Jiangnv came all the way to the Great Wall to find her husband who was arrested by officers and men to repair the Great Wall. Only when I asked did I know that my husband had been exhausted alive! Hearing this bolt from the blue, Meng Jiangnv cried sadly under the Great Wall for three days and nights. With a loud noise, the Great Wall fell 800 miles. What a touching story! Without the sacrifice of so many people, would there be the splendor of the Great Wall of Wan Li? The Great Wall is a symbol of the Chinese nation's strong perseverance and wisdom, the condensation of the hard work and sweat of Chinese sons and daughters, and an immortal monument of the Chinese nation. Walking down the Great Wall, I think it has been more than 2000 years since it was built. Although it has lost its defensive function, it still stands tall, showing the long history of the Chinese nation, reflecting the great achievements of China's ancient architectural engineering technology, showing the strong perseverance and intelligence of the working people of all ethnic groups in ancient China, and embodying China's strategic thought of active defense formed since ancient times. The Great Wall project is large-scale, which embodies the great spirit of the Chinese nation and is a symbol of China's ancient culture.
