Composition of traditional culture in Yan Hui

Once, Yan Hui said to Confucius, Teacher, I have made progress.

Confucius asked: How did you make progress?

Yan Hui said: I forgot about benevolence and righteousness.

Confucius said: Yes, but not enough.

A few days later, Yan Hui saw Confucius again: Teacher, I have made progress again. I forgot the ceremony and the music.

Confucius said: Yes, but not enough.

A few days later, Yan went back to visit Confucius and said, Teacher, I have made progress and I forgot.

Confucius asked in amazement: What does it mean to sit and forget?

Yan replied: I destroyed my strong limbs, withdrew from my keen hearing and clear vision, left my body and abandoned my wisdom, thus connecting with the avenue and merging into one. ......

Confucius said: If everything is the same, it is not selfish. If you conform to the changes of everything, you will not stick to common sense. You really became a saint. As a teacher, I also hope to study hard with you.
